“Dogs' lives are too short. Their only fault, really.”
Our dogs bring so much joy and love into our lives, and facing a scary diagnosis or their end-of-life journey is probably one of the hardest things many of us will have to go through. These sessions are a way to celebrate the love you share, honor their memory, and create lasting keepsakes you can cherish forever.
I hope to work together and create a visual legacy filled with love.
The Experience
I have long been fascinated with trying to photograph and portray a feeling. More than just taking cute (or solo) portraits of your dog looking at the camera, I am interested in also documenting the connection we share with our loved ones, what makes them special, and the little moments you’ll cherish and have documented forever.
These sessions can either take place at your pup’s favorite spot, my studio, or your home. Wherever your pup feels most comfortable.
Weekday sessions start at $250 (+$50 for weekends).
-
Scheduling a call allows me to get to know you and your loved ones a little better and discuss the best options for your pet’s needs, as well as give you the opportunity to ask any question you may have, and tell you more about working with me.
You will given priority on my calendar for both our connection call and your session.
-
When you’re ready, the booking process is quick and easy, and takes places entirely online.
-
Step 3 Prepare for your session. Once welcomed to our top-secret client portal, you will have all of the information for your upcoming session at your fingertips.
These sessions can be a celebration of the journey you and your pup have taken together. Some clients plan special treats for their pup or sentimental activities (another trip to the beach) etc. If you need any help planning or preparing, I’m happy to talk through options and what might feel like a good fit.
-
No matter where your dog is at physically, my biggest piece of advice for the session is to be in the moment with your pup.
The second tip is to let me be a fly on the wall. Whatever emotions that come are perfectly fine.
In some cases, “posing” or certain activities aren’t possible, and that’s okay. Your dog doesn’t need to do anything except receive all the love they deserve.
-
Once your photos are ready, you will receive an email from me with a link to schedule your virtual session reveal appointment. The appointment is to be scheduled whenever you feel ready.
The goal of this time together is to help you narrow down your favorites, answer any questions you may have about the photos or products in real time, offer any suggestions with my knowledge of the products available all based on your budget, decor and preferences, and to walk you through ordering.
While I’m always here to help, if you prefer to view the photos in private I completely understand. An online gallery will be made available to you.

You will have the comfort of knowing your best friend will live on in your heart and the printed keepsake reminders of a beautiful love and life.

Thank you so much Kimberly. The photos you took of her I will cherish for the rest of my life.

GIVING BACK
There are certain dogs that just imprint themselves on our heart and soul. She is one of them. My little lioness, soul dog and teacher. She taught & still reminds me to love fiercely & unconditionally, make the most of every single day, and to follow my passions, pursuits, and dreams with tenacity (her objectives were doing absolutely anything together as long as it was outside, and treats - always more treats).
I am forever grateful and indebted for the life lessons Nala gave me.
To honor her and help as many pups (and the people who love them) as possible, a portion of each and every pet photography session is donated to an animal related charity, ranging from rescues to cancer support & research. Photography sessions with me are also donated for silent auctions to different non-profits annually, and am always brainstorming additional ways to be as helpful as I can.
It’s easy to feel that certain problems are overwhelming or insurmountable, but I have to believe that we can make a difference… one dog and day at a time.
Dress up your walls
Elevate your home decor with custom artwork that reflects your style.
Instead of generic prints, consider a beautiful piece featuring your favorite animal. We offer a variety of contemporary wall art options, from single statement pieces to multi-part gallery arrangements.
For limited spaces, we also have coffee table albums and image boxes to elegantly display your artwork for years to come.
While digital files are available, there's something special about having physical artwork you can appreciate every day. This is an investment that will bring you lasting joy.
Session FAQ’s
-
Some of the best shots happen when dogs are just being dogs. I will always be observing throughout the session and work with you to get photos of your pet while keeping them as safe and comfortable as possible, including allowing them to be in whatever position is most comfortable (standing, sitting or laying down).
No matter the circumstances, I will document the details before me for you to always have.
As for leashes, almost every dog I photograph is leashed for safety when out in public and can be removed with the help of our photoshop skills.
-
The most important thing to me is your dog's comfort. For this reason, I offer in-home options for end of life sessions. This allows your pet to feel safe & loved without the discomfort of a new place or needing to travel.
*Travel fees may apply.
-
Your optional pre-session consultation is held over the phone. During this time, I will get to know your dog’s personality and more about your relationship, and what I need to do to create a safe and enjoyable experience for both you and your pet.
We will also talk about session expectations, possible locations, and address any additional questions or concerns that you may have regarding what to wear, how to prepare, and ways to display your images.

Aging or terminal pets are not all the same, so for that reason I offer a variety of location options to best suite you & your pet's needs.
If you have no idea, no worries! You may choose from a diverse location list that ranges from quiet and serene parks to stunning skylines and I'm happy to offer suggestions based on the health, personality and likes or dislikes of your pet.
If you would like to choose your own location that is sentimental and a place you like to go with your pup, you can absolutely upgrade.
Please note that in-home sessions are for terminal pets only.
If your dog is a reactive, our private studio option or a few parks on my list would work best.
-
Yes, my Legacy of Love sessions are reserved specifically for pets preparing to cross the Rainbow Bridge due to illness or aging. These sessions hold a special place in my heart and I will always move mountains to accommodate these types of sessions. Please don’t hesitate to let me know if you think your session may be needed urgently.
-
For sessions near the end, these can be seen as a bucket list session if your pup is feeling up to it. Even if an in-home session is best, sometimes pet parents like to include special treats their pup may not ordinarily have. Others choose to visit their favorite place one last time, especially if it's not too far. Please let me know if this is something you would like to discuss or need help with ideas.
Lastly, I still have the wagon that we used for our 45+ lb lab when she was unable to walk longer distances but still wanted to be outside with us. If this would be helpful to you, please let me know and I'd be happy to bring it for your session.
Capacity: 300 lbs. Interior Dimension: 31" (L) x 17.8" (W) x 13.5" (H). Our lab mix could sit comfortably and nearly lay down fully.

Most clients invest in a combination of wall art and a fine art album, heirloom folio box, or boutique add-ons, therefore the total amount spent from client to client varies greatly. Your total investment depends on how many images you love and how you wish to enjoy them following your session.
On the lower end, some spend around $500, choosing just a handful of matted small prints they can frame on their own and display on a desk or bookshelf. At the upper end of the scale, others want it all and invest several thousand in a collection or exquisite wall art for multiple rooms in their homes along with fine art albums, heirloom folio boxes, and an array of boutique add-ons to gift.
I offer options to accommodate a range of budgets, so whether you want a gorgeous fine art album of all your images, a statement-making wall art piece, or need my help figuring it out, we will work together to give you lasting tangible keepsakes.
-
I believe that even prints should come as a finished piece of art, which is why I offer them in my popular heirloom folio boxes, the most beautiful way to preserve your prints and a stunning alternative to fine art albums. These come in sets of 10 or 20 matted 5x7 prints that promise the highest level of durability, versatility, and archival quality. And, to give you the best of both worlds, these folio boxes include the matching high-resolution digital files of ordered box images.
Desire just a handful? My set of three matted gift prints is a great option for purchasing smaller gift prints, starting at $510. Desktop acrylic blocks are also a popular option for showcasing your #1 pup on your desk. Desktop keepsakes start at $125.
