A Very Special Valentine’s Pet Portrait Session
Bruce is a dog with deep, soulful brown eyes and a sweet, playful spirit. His human shared how connected they are, his need to snuggle face to face in bed, and how happy she is to have him as an addition to her home with her two other pups.
When they came into my Chicago photo studio, I knew I was going to be doing solo portraits of Bruce on various backgrounds - but the more I heard her tell their story and how much he means to her, I knew I wanted to do more.
A large part of my work is quite often intentionally about connection, so I always encourage humans be in at least a few of the photos - even if they may be a little hesitant for xyz reasons.
Afterwards, I will often hear - “that’s one of my favorite pictures!” and
”I’m so glad we did that.”
Years later, I know these photos will only increase in the value they hold.
My mission is to not only to capture what you love most about your pet, and add pieces of my perspective & creativity - but often more importantly, I want to document you WITH your loved ones.
Which makes me so glad that we had a little extra time to create a special portrait portraying the connection between Bruce and his human. The style is combination of my work and the client’s preference to not have a traditional looking into the camera portrait.
Which one is your favorite?
